SEA:ME Locations
After its development, testing phase, and first deployment in Wolfsburg, SEA:ME is now making its way to institutions worldwide. Below, we are listing and updating the different local installations of our SEA:ME curriculum, where students learn in lab environments and local learning communities.
SEA:ME @Wolfsburg
Offered by its creators, the very first local installation of SEA:ME can be found in the center of Wolfsburg (Germany), at the “Wolfsburg Mobility Lab” that was specially set up to test and showcase how SEA:ME can be provided to students.
Wolfsburg is known as the European capital of mobility, being the home of VW and the heart of a region that is clustered around mobility, including suppliers and software providers. In the center of Wolfsburg, at walking distance to the central train station and main shopping areas, SEA:ME provides free education opportunities to students from Germany and around the world. By empowering them on a shortest-possible timeline, and helping them connect to employers and career opportunities.
SEA:ME @Wolfsburg is a one-of-a-kind setup, created as a testing ground and showcase by the people who designed the curriculum. And used since the Fall of 2022 to test and improve the curriculum design and to create an ideal lab setting for students. Based on the learnings from this first installation, SEA:ME is now ready for sharing with other institutions.

SEA:ME @Korea
The testing, first implementation, review and improvement of SEA:ME has been done with support of its partners in Korea. Kookmin University leading the Korean government-supported COSS University Consortium on Future Cars, comprised of 7 universities, as well as Volkswagen Group Korea have helped make the lab environment and full-scale deployment of the SEA:ME curriculum in Wolfsburg possible.
Since 2022, students from the COSS University Consortium were awarded with scholarships to join the SEA:ME program in Wolfsburg. Our Korean partners have played a crucial role in developing, reviewing, and deploying the SEA:ME curriculum while continuously adding new modules.
Building on the initial experiences from Wolfsburg, COSS universities are now introducing SEA:ME to students in Korea. The program will be tailored as a supplemental, practice-focused learning component that enhances students’ skills and employability, supporting the Korean automotive industry’s transition to a future driven by software and mobility innovations.
